How to make Puto Cheese (Simple Recipe) Dry Ingredients: 2 cups of All-Purpose Flour 1 cup of sugar 2 tablespoon of baking powder Cheese (cut into strip) Wet Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of Margarine (also use for greasing mold) 2 pieces of egg 1/2 cup of evaporated milk 1 1/2 cups of water Procedure: 1. Grease mold at the bottom with melted butter or margarine. 2. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, sugar and baking powder). In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients (eggs, evaporated milk, margarine and water. Mix well. 3. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients. Mix until free of lumps. Pour puto mixture about 3/4 of silicone mold. Arrange the puto mold into the steamer. Put a strip of cheese on top before steaming. 4. Cover it and steam for 10 minutes over low heat. Wrap lid with cotton cloth to avoid water dripping over the puto. 5. Let it cool before removing from the silicone mold.
